AK: его can refer to "papa" (masculine) or even to "something' (neuter).
So, you can you also это ("it, this thing') instead.

It is sounded simply zdrasst'vooitiĕ, or more simply still :
Здрасьте!
zdrasstiĕ (Hello or hi!).

Как is : how.

Её (pron. iĕio) is the object of она, she; in English her (pronoun).
(This is a passive object in accusative case - "to have, to handle her" - иметь её)

— Она меня понимает: she understands me.
— Я понимаю её or Я её понимаю: I understand her.

But is но (однако) or а.

There is a shade of meaning:
но (однако) implies an opposition,
whereas а tends simply towards and (and at the same time).

Just as она becomes её in the (passive) object form,
он becomes его (pron. iĕvаw).

— Он вас знает: he knows you.
— Вы его знаете or вы знаете его: you (pl.) know him.
