庄立群陪同母异父的妹妹玩了一会儿,
就跑进厨房帮忙上菜.		 Zhuang Liqun played with his half sister for a while.
Then he entered kitchen to offer a hand for the dinner preparation.
zhuāng lìqún péitóng mŭ yìfù de mèimei wán le yīhuìr,
jiù păo jìn chúfáng bāngmáng shàngcài.		  
“佳佳爸什么时候回来?” 他问. “When will Jiajia’s Dad come back?”
“ jiā jiā bà shénmeshíhou huílai?” tā wèn.  
“快了, 说着话他就该回来了吧.
你和佳佳先喝点果汁, 看会儿电视,
他一来我们就开饭.”
文素云一边炒菜一边招呼孩子们.		 “Should be soon, any minute as we talk.
You go watch TV and drink some juice with Jiajia first.
Once he’s back, we’ll start to eat.”
Wen Suyun talked to her children while cooking.
“ kuài le, shuō zhe huà tā jiù gāi huílai le ba.
nĭ hé jiā jiā xiān hē diăn guŏzhī, kàn huìr diànshì,
tā yīlái wŏmen jiù kāifàn.”

其实庄立群今年已经二十四了,
在这个纷杂的社会里也混了八年有余.
不过每次来生母家做客,
他都会觉得自己又变回了孩子.		 As a matter of fact, Zhuang Liqun was already twenty four years old.
He had worked in this cynical society for eight years.
However, every time he came to his Mom’s house,
he felt like a kid again.

letting his sister to lean on him and watch “Happy Lambs”.
He thought,
maybe one day he would have a home like this of his own.
However, his own home would be really glamorous,

his sister and all his other relatives be proud of his home.
He would invite them for parties.
He would behave like a mogul
and take care of all the friends that he cares.
tā huì ràng zìjĭ de nǚrén， māma，
mèimei hé suŏyŏu de qīnqi dōu wéi zhī zìháo。
tā huì yāo tāmen cháng lái jùhuì。
tā huì xiàng gè dàgē yīyàng，
guānzhào suŏyŏu tā xiăng guānzhào de péngyou men。		  
“立群，这些东西是你的吧，
快放到客厅去，
厨房油烟大，别弄脏了。”
已准备好一桌丰盛菜肴的文素云
指着厨房墙角边的几个大大小小的精美购物带对儿子说。		 “Liqun, are these stuff yours,
move them to the living room please.
I don’t want the kitchen grease to get on them.”
Wen Suyun, who had just prepared a full table of delicious dishes,
asked Zhuang Liqun while pointing at the pretty shopping bags lined up at the corner.
” lì qún， zhèxiē dōngxi shì nĭ de ba，
kuài fàng dào kètīng qù，
chúfáng yóuyān dà， bié nòngzāng le。”

“妈，那些都是给你们买的，看喜不喜欢?”
庄立群扭头回答。		 “Mom, those are for you guys, see whether you like it?”
Zhuang Liqun turned his head and replied.
” mā， nàxiē dōu shì gěi nĭmen măi de， kàn xĭ bù xĭhuan?”
zhuāng lì qún niŭtóu huídá。		  
“来吃饭就来吃饭，谁让你拎东西来啦?
你那点工资还不够你自己使呢!”
文素云一边说，
一边弯腰瞅了瞅袋子里的盒子.		 “If you just come to eat, why do you need to bring things for us?
The income you have can barely meet you ends with!”
Wen Suyun said while drooping down to have a look at those bags.
” lái chīfàn jiù lái chīfàn， shéi ràng nĭ līn dōngxi lái la?
nĭ nà diăn gōngzī hái bùgòu nĭ zìjĭ shĭ ne!”
wén sù yún yībiān shuō，
yībiān wānyāo chŏu le chŏu dàizi lĭ de hézi.		  
“我说立群,
你咋买那么贵的东西呢?!”
文素云从袋子里拿出一张小单,
上面打着人民币五千八的总价.		 “Come on, Liqun,
how could you spend so much on buying this?!”
Wen Suyun picked up a receipt from the bag.
The total price on the receipt was five thousand and eight hundred RMB.
