A verbal te-form plus もいいです - mo ii desu means "you may do ...," which describes
an activity that is permitted.
To ask for permission, you can turn it into
a question sentence, ~てもいいですか - ~te mo ii desu ka. |

plus はいけません - wa ikemasen. |
