to describe your hope or aspiration. |

As you can see in the first example above,
having tai attached to a verb slightly affects the
composition of the sentence. |

A verb that takes the particle wo [o]
can have either the particle wo [o] or ga when
it is followed by tai.
Particles other than wo [o] remain the same. |

aspirations. |

To describe your observation to the effect that somebody wants to
do something, you must use a special verb たがっている - tagatte iru instead of
たい. |

This derives from the dictionary
form たがる〔欲する〕- tagaru and indicates "I think that she wants to, because of the way she is
behaving." |
