て forms for joining sentences
  Just like using the て-form to join verbs, it can also be used to combine adjectives and nouns.
  The て-form of an い-adjective is formed by substituting くて - kute for the final い - i.
  The て-form of a な-adjective and a noun+です is formed by adding で - de to the base or the noun.
   
  い adjective:
やすい→ やすくて cheap; easy

yasui - yasukute

 
  irregular:
いい → よくて good

ii - yokute

 
   な adjective:
げんき(な)→ げんきで robust, vivacious, healthy

genkina - genki de

 
  noun + です: 
にほんじん です → にほんじん で Japanese person (full form / short form in first sentence)

nihon-jin desu - nihon-jin de

 
   
あの みせ  の たべもの は やすくて、おいしい です。 The food at that restaurant is inexpensive and delicious.

ano mise no tabemono wa yasukute, oishii desu.

 
あの ひと は いつも げんき で、おもしろい です。 That person is always energetic and fun to be with.

ano hito wa itsumo genki de, omoshiroi desu.

 
やました せんせい は にほんじん  で、よんじゅっさい ぐらい です。 Prof. Yamashita is a Japanese and he is about forty years old.
yamashita sensei wa nihon-jin de, yonjussai gurai desu.
