When used as an indefinite pronoun, tout varies in gender and number.

· in the masculine singular,it means

'everything' or 'all' and is the opposite of

'nothing':

Example:   C'est tout ce qu'il nous reste.

Note. This pronoun is rarely used in the feminine

singular.

· в м. р. ед. ч. tout означает "всё", "все предме-

ты" и является антонимом слова "ничто".

· in the plural, it means the opposite of

'no', 'none' or nobody':

Example:   Je crois que nous allons tous

                 prendre un jus de tomate.

                 Nous sommes tous а bord !

Note. The 's' in tous is pronounced.

· во мн. ч. неопределенное местоимение tout

означает "все" и противопоставлено словам

"ни один", "ни одна" или "никто".
