The word merci (thank you) is used in

conventional phrases which express thanks.

· Merci can be used on its own as a convention.

Example:     Merci. Vous pouvez y aller.

                      Je l'ai, merci !

· Merci may also be followed by mille fois (a

thousand times - merci mille fois = thank you so

/ very much) or by the adverb bien or beaucoup

(thank you very much).

Example:     Merci mille fois, vous кtes gentil.

                      Je crois que oui, merci beaucoup.

                      Merci bien, j'y vois maintenant.

· слово merci используется в формулах

вежливости для выражения благодарности.

- merci может употребляться как самостоятель-

ное предложение.

Примеры: Merci. Vous pouvez y aller.

                   Je l'ai, merci !

- merci может сопровождаться словосочетанием

mille fois, а также наречием bien или beaucoup.

Примеры: Merci mille fois, vous кtes gentil.

                   Je crois que oui, merci beaucoup.

                   Merci bien, j'y vois maintenant.

· Merci may be followed by the prepositions а

(to), de (for) and pour (for) - (the expression

formed must contain an object).

Example:     Tu diras merci au monsieur.

                      Oui, merci pour votre aide !

                      Merci de vos indications.

Note. When the complement is an infinitive,

merci is always followed by the preposition de.

Example: Merci de m'avoir aidé.

- merci может употребляться с предлогами

а, de или pour (за этим сочетанием всегда

следует дополнение).

                   Oui, merci pour votre aide !

                   Merci de vos indications.

Примечание: если в позиции дополнения стоит
