Au revoir aux Duval! Good bye to the Duvals!
1 Nous sommes obligés (1) d'abandonner pour le moment l'histoire des Duval,
2 et cela pour une raison que nous vous donnerons (2) plus tard.
3 Nous nous occuperons maintenant d'un jeune étranger (3)
4 qui vient passer quelques mois en France
5 afin de se perfectionner dans la connaissance de la langue (4).
6 Mais nous retrouverons (5) nos amis Duval,
7 car le monde est petit,
8 et il n'y a que les montagnes (6)
9 qui ne se rencontrent (7) pas.
10 En attendant (8), nous vous invitons
11 à suivre (9) avec nous les aventures du jeune Paul Martin.		 — 1 We are obliged to leave the story of the D.s for the moment,
